If you're over 6'2", you already know the drill. You order a large because that's what the size chart says, it arrives, and the sleeves stop somewhere around your forearm. The hem rides up every time you reach overhead. The joggers look more like capris. It's not you — it's that almost every clothing brand designs for one average height and just scales the width up and down for different sizes, never the length.
We started SlimTall because we were done with it too. Here's what we've learned about actually solving the tall-fit problem, whether you shop with us or not.
1. Sleeve and body length matter more than the size label
A size XL from one brand can be cut totally differently from an XL somewhere else. Instead of chasing a size number, look specifically for garment length measurements if a brand publishes them (sleeve length, body length from shoulder to hem). That number tells you more than S/M/L/XL ever will.
2. Tall-specific brands exist for a reason
Brands built specifically for tall frames — like ours — add extra inches into the sleeve and torso without just sizing up the width too. That's the difference between a shirt that's long enough and a shirt that's long and baggy because you had to size up two sizes just to get the sleeves to reach.
Our hoodies and joggers are built with exactly this in mind — extra length where you actually need it, not just more fabric everywhere.
3. Joggers and pants: check the inseam, always
This is the single biggest complaint we hear. "High-waters" happen because most brands' longest inseam still tops out around 32-34 inches. If you're consistently dealing with pants that stop above your ankle, look specifically for an extra-long inseam option rather than just sizing up.
4. Tall doesn't mean one silhouette
A lot of "tall" fashion advice assumes one body type. Tall bodies come in every shape, and that includes tall women, who are often even more underserved by mainstream sizing than tall men. If that's you, our Tall Women's Collection is built around the same principle: length where you need it, not just generic "oversized."
The bottom line
You shouldn't have to choose between clothes that fit your height and clothes that fit your style. That's the whole reason SlimTall exists. If you've been living in shirts that ride up and pants that stop too soon, check out what we've built — or at minimum, start checking sleeve and inseam measurements before you buy anywhere else.
